Patience in Waiting
By Judith Bronte
here are many times in life when you must wait
for an answer. It requires faith and patience.
"Hope deferred maketh the heart
sick: but when the answer cometh, it is a tree of life"
~ Proverbs 13:12 ~.
When you wait, you are showing confidence in God.
"And now, Lord, what wait I
for? my hope is in Thee."
~ Psalm 39:7 ~
From my experience, there can also be the temptation to panic. By panicking instead
of faith and confidence to God, we do him a great injustice and sin.
"There is no fear in love;
but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is
not made perfect in love."
~ 1 John 4:18 ~
Christ does not want us to abide in torment. Thank you Christ!
"The LORD will give strength
unto His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace."
~ Psalm 29:11 ~
One of the reasons Christ came, was to enable us to serve Him without fear.
"That He would grant unto us,
that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve Him without fear"
~ Luke 1:74 ~
This is a most blessed promise!
"And the work of righteousness
shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever."
~ Isaiah 32:17 ~
"The LORD is good unto them that wait
for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him. It is good that a man should both hope and
quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD."
~ Lamentations 3:25,26 ~
With these assurances, let us wait for the answer in love, in faith, in assurance.
May God bless you and keep you in the way you ought to go.
"I will instruct thee and teach
thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye."
~ Psalm 32:8 ~
