"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."
~ Proverbs 3:5, 6 ~

I stand on the brink of a miracle,
An event that will change my life,
The greatest gift of love, that our Lord above,
Can bestow on a husband and wife.

I stand on the brink of creation,
A father I soon will be,
A position of great importance,
And responsibility.

Charged with the physical well-being,
And spiritual needs of my family,
I ask for wisdom and guidance,
I ask for Thy help, Father please.

I ask that my child be healthy and whole,
Free from sickness and disease,
I ask that both mother and child,
Live long fruitful lives, Father please.

I ask for patience when my day is long,
And my mind is a raging sea,
I ask to be tender, loving and mild,
When I handle my child, Father please.

I ask for courage and power,
To defeat my enemies,
To protect my family in times of danger,
I ask for Thy strength, Father please.

I ask for the Holy Spirit,
To help teach my child about Thee,
As I teach her Thy way, and how she should pray,
I ask for Thy love Father please.

I thank Thee dear Lord for Thy blessings,
For Thy grace and tender mercies,
I ask for the shelter of Thy mighty hand,
I ask, keep us safe, Father please.

I ask Dear Lord that You help me be,
A fraction as good a Father as Thee.
I humbly ask on bended knee,
In Christ Holy name I ask, Father please.
