My Sweet Love, My Friend
Wherever Christ is, is heaven to me,
Wherever He is, is where I want to be.

You are my one, true desire,
Burning strong in me, as a fire.

No pain on earth, could erase,
The warmth, of Your dear face.

Not just in sorrow, but all the time-
You abide with me, in every clime.

I'll not fear, what man can do,
I'll just keep, my eyes on You.

What fears, could my soul possess?
When Perfect Love - You only bless!

None on earth could kill my soul,
As long as You thrill my soul-
My Sweet Love, my Friend.

"The LORD is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear?
the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
~ Psalm 27:1 ~

The Silver Cord is Loosened
The silver cord is loosened,
The golden bowl is cleaved.
Your soul has just departed,
And I am now bereaved.

Though my heart is heavy,
Weighing down my breast,
With anticipation - I wait,
For the day I too find rest.

Let not these tears entice -
Thee to return to me.
For thy rest is sweeter,
Than this earth could ever be.

A Parent's Christmas Prayer
Christmas Eve night, before you sleep,
And ask the LORD your soul to keep,
Think of the GOD Who came to earth.
For He was born in holy birth.

Forsaking His heven'ly glory,
Christ fulfilled the Christmas story.
A sinless life - He lived in grace,
Our sins He bore upon His face.

All shame that we have been forgiven,
Christ all His love for us had given.
Christmas morning, when you stir,
Don't let the day pass in a blur.

God, cause him to know all the day,
In each and every single way,
That all good gifts are from above,
But the greatest gift was Your love.

"Through the tender mercy of our God;
whereby the Dayspring from on high
hath visited us."
~ Luke 1:78 ~

I Wish This World Could Know

It's so like You...
To calm my fears,
It's so like You...
To dry my tears.

I wish this world could know,
How You make my heart glow,
I wish... this world could know.

It's so like You...
To be this tender,
It's so like You...
My soul's Defender.

I wish this world knew,
The place I've found in You,
I wish... this world knew.

It's so like You...
To make me rest,
It's so like You...
I am greatly blest!

I wish this world had known,
The desire You have shown,
I wish... this world had known.

Forgive a Heart That's Been Untrue

Hateful words! - despise my name,
How could I hate, when your love came?

Pain you knew - and sorrow too,
My hate, not their's ... I hurt you.

With my own mouth, I am undone!
Love never speaks, as I have done.

Passion is vaporous, and favor fleeting,
But love can mend and stop all bleeding.

You heaped coals, upon my head,
But hate for love, I gave instead.

The Living Word, you shared with me,
Precious Bible - I held you tightly!

Your eyes I feel - you're watching me,
Without a sound, you study me.

"Unworthy as I am of you,
Forgive a heart that's been untrue!"
